Are we really a week into this month?! Time is definitely flying, but not for all the right reasons. There is a chance I'll have jury duty... hopefully not, since heading to a court room some 14 miles away and no ride (fyi, I cannot drive) will definitely be a pain in my rump (and may be a pain in the comics...).

But, besides that... yeah, new wallpapers for Namir Deiter and You Say it First over at the .net, also this will (thankfully) be the last three day comic update week (to make up for the jumbled mess that was March). Hopefully you all are enjoying this recent Grover Hills story, I promise it will pick up soon. ^_^

Oh, also, all you ultra generous people who donated $50 or more over the last few months, you should have gotten an e-mail from Terrence about what character you want in your thank you gift sketch. From here on out they are going to be random unless you let us know beforehand. A good place would be in the comments of your Paypal payment... which will hopefully be an option. XO I have no idea at the moment...

Ok, that's all I have, it's been a sleepy week, which will hopefully turn into a sleepy month.

Yes, folks, Spare Parts has ended. It's been a good four-and-a-half years, and I hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. Thank you.

And just now realized that our previous announcement that it was ending had fell off of the front page and that Spare Parts didn't have a 'previous news' button. Sorry about that, folks.

We made a few small changes to the NamirDeiter.net FAQ, please look it over if you have any questions.

The next batch of comics is being inked. It's going a bit slow. My sinuses have been bothering me today, which interferes with the creative process. The aforementioned dental appointment has been pushed back a week, and I intend to be caught up and have a few days of buffer in case I don''t feel well afterwards.

Commentary still undone. I have ND and YSIF sketched till Saturday, hopefully it'll be updated before then... going to try and get SP's week sketched tonight, inked tomorrow. However, I have (yet another) dentist appointment tomorrow, which may slow me down a bit. Expect them in a few days. As always, thank you everyone for your patience!

Now for the HUGE news... after a 11 month delay...Elemental Story 4 is now available for donators over at namirdeiter.net, LOTS more on this below!

Also, everyone who donates $10 or more this month will get access to Elemental Story 4. We've added Girichoko's Story, an old, old webcomic of mine, along with a brand-new 8-page easter egg, to the donor's bonus library. We're sorry for the delays.

I'm doing a little better... I'm now in just a nice daze, compared to being dizzy and unable to think like last week. I was able to get a lot of writing done over the past couple days (almost a month of Namir Deiter, but a week of that is the previous week's comics) and work on Namir Deiter's wallpaper for this month.

It's ND wallpaper #100 and I wanted to do something special for it, and I hope you all think I did as well. It contains over 30 characters that have appeared in the world of ND, and I don't think I'll ever do something like that again. ^_^;;

I plan on getting the comics back up to date over the next few weeks... even if you are only a reader of one of our comics, there are two others that need to be updated as well (so there's something like 18 or more comics I need to post over the next few days... I hope to get as many up as soon as I can).

Second, Girichoko's Story first (and only) 15 pages were added to the free bonus book section of the namirdeiter.net bonus library. Remember, even if your account has ran out, you can still use your username and password to view the library's free content! GS was a story from 2003 (or so) that didn't last as long as it's predecessor, The Shokora Diaries, but as it contains info on the TSD characters, you might want to check it out!

Last, and this is the big one: the last bonus book I had to add to the bonus library, all the way back from April 07,"Elemental Story 4" is now available. If you donated back then and only back then, please be sure to log in and read it! It will be the last bonus book I add to the libary for a while, as it was the last month where I said I would do one. After that month the monthly donation total was knocked down $300 and no more bonus books were planned. Also, if you donate this month, you will find you also have access to the book (and, if you donated BOTH months, you'll see you have access to two sets of it- they are the same book, it was just a lot easier -and a lot quicker on all of you- to just put it in twice). At the end of the month, everyone from March 08 will have access to only the April 07 book, as having two sets is too much.

Elemental Story 4 is the second largest of all the monthly bonus books, with 18 pages of content. I hope you enjoy it and find it enjoyable!
Also, I haven't forgotten about the $50 from the last three months- I'll be working on the character's sketches over the next few days, but only after I get the comics caught up and the last two wallpapers.

As always, I thank you for your patience and I hope you'll enjoy the comics to come!

03.10.2008 - Isabel Marks:
This morning I went to the dentist for some numbing drill work... it wasn't so bad but afterwards I was dizzy, really dizzy, like I wanted to pass out and sleep. So I did. I woke up and still pretty much feel the same way, only sneezy and a little feverish. I was supposed to write but all I did was watch Terrence play video games (he scheduled himself today and tomorrow off for a really needed mini-vacation) and feeling sick and lazy. So I'm going to take things slowly... maybe all the Brawl excitement compromised my immune system (wouldn't be surprised as I haven't been sleeping right lately)... comics will be made up, as always, and if it goes on much longer, .net users will get a bonus day or two. Till then, hang tight and thank you for your patience.

Want to know just how out of it I am? Terrence is playing Brawl Classic mode and it mentioned Fox and Falco, and for a minute there I was really confused and thought "...when did she get in the game?". So yeah, no operating heavy equipment for me today, and a lead pencil is mighty heavy right now.
03.05.2008 - Isabel Marks:
Well, folks, here we are in March... wallpapers are still going slowly as are scripts. I was really hoping Terrence would help me at the least write this important bit of news up, but I must be the bearer of bad news... Spare Parts will be ending as of the end of this month (and no, this is not a huge and horrible April Fool's prank- I stopped playing those games a long time ago).

It had a nice long run, but it had a lot of hiccups along the way. Spare Parts went on long hiatus twice and even then it was difficult for Terrence to write comics, eventually I would become the main author of Spare Parts as well, but I've been losing quite a bit of steam over the past year or two. I can't keep up with three different stories at once anymore (I'm getting old). Spare Parts is in a nice transition period which will work nicely as a place to put it down. However, do not fear SP, donors. If we get enough people interested and I have an idea for a story, you just might see a Spare Parts arc every now and again as bonus content over at namirdeiter.net. Of course, that is, if any of you are actually interested, that was another factor in my decision... while we are very thankful for the fans we have, Spare Parts' numbers have always been on the slim side... and I would rather focus on our more popular series than stretch myself thin much longer. If we make the monthly goal, You Say it First will run seven days a week, so really I am only cutting two comics a week out of my schedule.

If any of you are only reading Spare Parts, now might be a great time for you to check out our other two series (links can be found in the "General News" section above the comic) and for those of you who don't read Spare Parts, now might be a great time to catch up on it and join in for the story's close. If you like our other series, you just might like Spare Parts as well.

We thank each and everyone one of you who read and enjoyed Spare Parts, we hope you enjoy it's ending and will continue to read our other series.
