Hey guys... we're going to be doing something a little differently and try to actually blog here instead of just waiting for something cool to happen in the comic, so these little news update will usually be just us rambling about things, and if there's one thing I'm good at doing is rambling.

I've been up to a lot of gaming things... and I realize I have the taste of a 13 year old. One of the things I've recently got into is Digimon ReArise, a game on the iPhone. I've always liked the idea of Digimon, but I only have so much room for things with -mon in the name, and usually Pokemon takes up that spot (am I the only one indifferent about Sword and Shield? Man that makes me feel old). It's a Gatcha game that I understood enough to get through the initial tutorial (something which Pokemon Masters failed to do for me). I'm still trying to figure out how to play the game "correctly", which I know I'm not doing. I'm torn between using some cool Digis I pulled and the ones that game recommends I use, which are powerful, but not as cool looking (I have a Dark Gatomon and an Angelmon. There's no way I'm not using them). If I grind enough I can have a team of devils with Angelmon being their designated driver. I'm playing this game the way I wanted to play Pokemon Go, where if it was up to me, I'd have a team of 6 pink Pokemon with high CPs that I use for raids and the like. I've gotten Terrence to play ReArise, but deep down he's indifferent to the game (he missed the Digitrain entirely, while I had an Izzy folder in my school binder and still remember the Wizardmon card I pulled from a Taco Bell toy meal back when they still had them). It's a complicated game that feels like Masters and FEHeroes, but the tutorial let me understand enough so I could (slowly) learn to play the game through use. I'd recommend it if these kind of games are your thing. Also, I really want a Wizardmon in this game. D:

We had some iPad issues and didn't get that fixed until late in the day. Good news is it's fixed. Normally, we'd stay up late and get the comic finished. Unfortunately, we've got some medical tests scheduled tomorrow. We hope you have a happy Labor day.

So, what's happening this week? One update is happening, on Friday.
Why? Isabel's computer has been overheating and randomly crashing which makes it difficult to make comics. We've added another fan, which should keep things going a bit longer. Also, we've got a bit more medical things to deal with this week. Further tests. And she had a crown come off last week and we're still dealing with that. So it's been a bit trying lately, for her. We thank you for your patience and support.

And last week's tests were inconclusive. So uncertainty and more tests in the future. At least we've got that to look forward to. We'll try to update Tuesdays and Fridays in the meantime.

Good news is that the colitis is gone. Bad news is that we're still working on figuring out the root cause of all this. Which means tests. Which means, in this case, no solid food. So, well, she'll get through this. But for now, we're taking a bit of time off.

Two weeks ago, Isabel's stomach went from the normal amount of pain to extreme go-to-urgent-care levels of pain. Four hours later - which included a tour of the pharmacy, lab, and imaging departments - we had a diagnosis of colitis and some rather strong antibiotics.

Antibiotics are difficult on the stomach during good times, and these were not good times. The best information we're seeing on colitis is that certain foods can aggravate it, but that exact list is different for each person. We're trying to figure out what she can safely eat now that she's back on solid food. And trying to get things to the point where "a normal amount of stomach pain" is a thing of the past.

How are we doing? We're adjusting. We're getting better. Healing up. And we're glad that we've got very good insurance. But we're going to update once a week for a bit until we've got a better handle on things and Isabel is feeling better.

The comic is inked but it's not in any shape to be put up tonight. We'll have it for you on Friday and thank you, as always, for reading.

Hey everyone, Isabel here... long and short of it I've had some pretty major heath/mental issues going on with me right now. I'm going to try and keep up the schedule, I just don't know how often I'll be able to. Right now I need to make sure I recover, however long it takes. Anyway, I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has stuck around, invited people or helped keep the comic going financially (seriously, those of you who do are saints).
