About Namir Deiter: A guide for those new to the world of Namir Deiter

Welcome to the world of Namir Deiter, a place where you will find a wide range of stories, from the everyday to the extraordinary and to the just plain weird!

Here's a quick crash course as to who is who in the world of ND!

ND focuses on the lives of four girls: Tipper Namir, Snickers Namir, Blue Deiter, Joy Satu as well as their friends, loves and families! For a quick summary of who's who and how they relate to the other characters, please read on!

For a more detailed look on each character, please visit the cast page!

Tipper Namir: The star of our comic.  Entering her freshman year in college.  She dated Cedric for a while. She is now very single and usually gets stuck with her friend Gabby. As the youngest member of the main cast, she tends to get a lot of advice from everybody else, whether she wants it or not.
Snickers Namir: Tipper's elder sister and  unofficial guardian.  Usually sensible and responsible.  Used to go to college but due to slipping grades and a lost of scholarship had to quit. Currently works at her husband's flower shop.  Their parents divorced a few years ago. Their mother has died.  So Snickers and Twix generally stand in for Tipper's parents when need be.
Twix Dorpe-Namir: Tipper's brother-in-law.  Snickers' better half. Eccentric.  Together with Snickers, they comprise the "Happily Married" portion of the cast.  He's pretty much the only positive male role model that Tipper has.
Joy Satu: Snickers' friend.  She's a very quiet, nice person.  She was BoB's girlfriend until he abandoned her to see the world.  Joy turns white in the winter; she had been depressed about this and wouldn't go outside during the holidays.  After BoB broke up with her, she dyed her fur white. She was going out with Dr. Ferdinand Fitzgerald until his mother told him to break up with her. She lost her job (she was working at his practice), her apartment (which he was paying for), and her interest in becoming a nurse (which he was also paying for). She has moved in with Snickers and Twix.
Blue Deiter: Resident hooligan.  Friend of Snickers'.  She likes picking up guys and puts more effort into that than anything else.  She recently graduated college and works at a bar near campus.
BoB Dorpe: Twix's cousin.  Joy's ex-boyfriend until he left her to go tour the world.  He's a slug.  He's stupider than two brick walls.  He can make computers burst into flames by the force of his sheer incompetence.  He was engaged to Mallory but left her at the altar when he realized what he was getting in to.
Cedric Van Helgen: An unstable artist. The creator of Tipporomatic with his friends Murray and Bendly.   Tipper's ex-suitor and Falco's current boyfriend.  Gabby and Falco's roommate.
Mallory Duck: Blue's cousin.  Mallory is a very bitter person.  She doesn't really like the rest of the cast.  The rest of the cast doesn't like her much either.  She was engaged to BoB, but he left her at the altar - before she could do the same to him.   Joy doesn't like Mallory or BoB any more.  Also known as "Ducky".
Gabby Ramos: Was Tipper's only friend in High School and Cedric's unofficial artistic rival. She knew Falco online before she met her in real life. Had an unrequited crush on Tipper. Her family can be a bit unstable at times.

Now that you know a little about each character, why don't you go start with the first comic? If you don't want to read through the entire archives you can read through this quick summary of what's been going on over the last four years in the world of ND, but I should warn you, it will contain spoilers for those of you who have yet to read through the archives!

Ready..? Here we go!

Eight thousand years ago, there was a king named Gladius.  He had two wives. One was made out of fire.  The other one was a duck.  Everybody in the kingdom lived in peace and harmony.  There was a very large sword named the SurePowerBlade which was smote through the middle of the largest active volcano in....

No wait, that's not how it went...

Year One
Year one began with the introduction of Devlin, Tipper's now ex-boyfriend. They got arrested for speeding and disturbing the peace, but they had a good time.  From there Snickers and Blue took a figure drawing class at a community college, where Snickers was shaken up by the nakedness of it all.  Blue ended up taking another class that had better men in it.  After that Tipper tried to ditch school and failed, while Snickers and Joy got caught playing hooky.  Spring Break caused conflict between Snickers and Blue (they agreed to disagree when they noticed Joy and Tipper where missing and made up afterwards).  Once classes resumed, Joy met up with Ducky (AKA Mallory) and BoB in computer class.  Fortunately for her it was all a bad dream and life moved on. After that Tipper endorsed cat food and Blue tried to go to work, but the Halloween story that year cut into the middle of things.

Year Two
Year two started off with Joy losing her pink fur as well as her self-esteem.  Joy turned to the internet and found a nice person to converse with on the Kick Ass Chat (K.A.C.) help room.  Behind the scenes the two became more than friends while the other girls lived their lives.  Blue got stuck up a tree (only to be saved by a handsome firedog), Tipper and Devlin had a fight and we get a glimpse into the girls' childhood.  From there Tipper anguished over her bra size only to realize Devlin didn't really notice her chest and BoB set Snickers up with his cousin Twix Dorpe.  The two hit it off quite well.  From there Tipper cleans her room while Blue and Joy get stranded by Blue's junk car (which of course ends with Blue getting carried off by a man).  From there the girls went to Panda's Pizza, a restaurant with games and prizes. One of those prizes turned out to be BoB and the girls had to win him back.  On the way home, Joy talks more about the fellow she met over K.A.C, who ended up standing her up when they tried to meet in real life and eventually dumped her.  As time passes the other lightly speak of marriage while Joy and BoB become a couple.  A while later Snickers and Twix go on a romantically spontaneous adventure, while Blue takes Ducky onto the Jenny Jub show where she was sent to boot camp and given a make-over. Ducky now becomes Mallory and she hasn't been the same since. Halloween remains relatively normal (as much as a slug and a hedgehog switching bodies for a day can be) and Christmas rolls in, where Tipper finds out Devlin is cheating on her and breaks up not only their relationship, but his face as well.

Year Three
Year three starts off with Twix admitting he's more than a few years older than Snickers, but everyone except Tipper already knew that.  From there Twix and BoB prepared for Valentine's day, as well as a fishing trip just for the boys.  They didn't catch anything and Joy got mad at BoB because they took off the same day as their dancing lesson.  After that, Tipper got caught sneaking in past her curfew and was given the choice between five months of being grounded or volunteering at a YMCA helping with ballet. Tipper chooses the latter but realizes she's not very good at this whole helping thing.  It is here she meets Taimoor, a boy rather small for his age, but very much in love.  Taimoor is taking the class to show this girl that he's good enough for her and Tipper vows to help him.  Even though she choose to take being grounded over volunteering any more, Tipper started working on a plan for Taimoor to win his love, only to realize she was falling for him (or at least, falling for the image Tipper had of him). When her punishment was up, Taimoor had a rather large growth spurt and suddenly didn't need Tipper's help anymore.  Tipper was angry and confused by her feelings.  On some rather motherly advice from Blue, Tipper went to tell Taimoor her feelings, only to see that he was with another woman.  From there, Snickers and Twix went away on a trip, where Twix proposed to her, much to everyone's surprise.  There wasn't too much time for celebrating, since Tipper was off helping a friend by taking her work shift over at Ya-Ta comics, where a strange young man grabbed Tipper by the face!  It was an experience she wanted to forget.  It turns out that young man was Cedric, a strange artist who had not only fallen for Tipper, but was a good friend of Taimoor's as well. But Tipper had other complicated matters on her mind, her mother was planning a Divorce anniversary party and almost all the single men in town were invited!  Snickers and Twix got drunk over the power of suggestion (and a bottle or two of apple cider) and ended up getting married at a drive-thru chapel.  The two don't really mind too much and started to enjoy the joys of marriage, like preparing Thanksgiving dinner for their family and friends, or getting a Christmas tree (after Snickers and Tipper failed with their attempt).  Blue however had her own problems as she remembered her past and how she ran away from home to live with (who she believes to be) her sister on Christmas Eve several years ago.

Year Four
Year four starts off with College applications and  BoB breaking up with Joy to see the world.  Joy becomes distraught and cuts her hair and dyes her pink fur white as a way of letting the world know she's depressed.  At school Joy received far too much sympathy and date offers than she ever wanted, but Spring Break jumps in to take her mind off of things, if only anyone wanted to do anything fun.  Tipper and Joy end up trying to build a pool in Tipper's back yard and got stuck in cement.  Meanwhile, Blue finally goes back to work!   As school starts up again, Cedric takes Taimoor to see his comic book studio and Cedric finds out that Taimoor knows Tipper. Cedric becomes horribly jealous of Twix (whom he believes to be Tipper's boyfriend!).  Fortunately school comes to a close with the graduation of Snickers and Joy from High School! After classes end Taimoor starts to avoid Tipper, since he is conflicted with Cedric's feelings to Tipper and his own feelings for her.  Fortunately a chance meeting with Twix helps to set his mind right... kind of.  He got so far as to at least show Tipper how he feels with a very passionate kiss, but couldn't bring up the nerve to speak afterwards.  This was more than enough for Tipper as she realized her own love for him.  From there Joy dives herself into Summer college classes as well as helping Mallory fix her computer and the cast goes to an anime convention!

From there, things got complicated.

Snickers, Blue and Joy got ready for college, with Joy and Blue becoming dorm-mates. Joy accidentally burns off the last of her long hair and Snickers shows Tipper around campus while Twix picks up BoB from the airport and BoB wants to go see his ex!  Things go from ugly to worse as it becomes obvious that BoB and Mallory where behind Joy getting dumped on KAC all those years ago, and when Joy goes to confront Mallory on the matter, she finds out KAC was not just a plot to get Joy together with BoB, but Mallory was secretly planning on taking BoB away from Joy (and failed miserably!).  The next day Mallory goes to tell BoB off and ended up kissing him.

The first day of High School came all too quickly for the friendless Tipper, but a chance meeting with Taimoor and Cedric produced a friend and ally against Cedric for Tipper; a koala named Gabby. Halloween came and went as Tipper and Taimoor went to a Halloween party together.  Blue and her adoptive mother spent time discussing the past after receiving a call from Blue's biological mother, and it confirms Blue's suspicions that her current "mother" was her sister, which she had been apprehensive to ask about. With Thanksgiving the girls went their own seaperate ways to have dinner with their familes (except for Tipper and Snickers, since they are sisters and all). We are then introduced to Momma and Murphy Dorpe, two slugs who, like all Dorpes, love their ham. Once Momma Dorpe found out Snickers and Twix had no sort of wedding photos to show for themselves, she proclaimed that they must get married, again. While Snickers and Twix go off to have a honeymoon, Joy and Tipper spend the holiday together. Cedric managed to anonymously give his lady love a gift as the year comes to an end.

Year Five
The New Year begins simply enough with a squabble about just who keeps leaving moldy sandwiches in the fridge, as well as Joy's overly bleached fur falling out. From there, Tipper was forced to go to school by herself (since her only High School friend Gabby was too sick to go) and managed to get herself locked into an art storage bin with her semi-stalker suitor Cedric. Through a role reversal, being able to actually talk to him (and a heated bout of kisses to boot), Tipper started to feel something for Cedric, and started to second guess her lukewarm relationship with her guy pal Taimoor. During lunch, her second guesses were only confirmed by Taimoor, who apparently found himself a new girlfriend over the winter break, leaving Tipper the daunting task of trying to get Gabby to agree with the relationship. After a heated discussion Gabby agreed to blessing the relationship and Tipper thought she was in the clear... until she got home, where her sister Snickers ran into her for not only making out during school, but for rushing too fast into a relationship. Tipper's punishment was mild. From there, Blue's biological sister (yet legal mother/ guardian) has finally gone on a date, much to the surprise of Blue. We also find out what Blue's mother's name is. Meanwhile, we finally see Joy volunteering over at the retirement home where we find out more about the good doctor (and his new found friendship with Joy). Tipper gets a surprise after attending detention, her father has returned and wants her to move in with him. Fortunately Twix and Snickers acted quickly and found out that Father Namir had in fact given up his rights to his children when he signed the divorce papers. His hasty retreat and general lack of caring made Tipper rather depressed, but fortunately for her, she has a loving, if only slightly untraditional family to be there for her. Momma Dorpe is out for Grandchildren, but Snickers seems to be dead set against it, to Momma Dorpe's dismay. Meanwhile, Joy has had it with her free-loading roommate, Blue. So, Blue heads off to ultimately get drunk, but ended up getting work as a bartender.

Tipper and Cedric go to a Baseball game- or rather- Taimoor tricks Cedric into helping Misha's (Taimoor's little sister) team man the snack shop while Tipper gets stuck watching the game with Blue. Meanwhile, Joy and Dr. Fitzgerald have a little chat over food and get to know each other more.

It was time for Prom among the younger people of the cast. At the prom Taimoor and Cedric got into a fight over how Cedric treated Tipper. The two groups decided to go home... however before they got there, Tipper made a few advances upon Cedric that he was too upset to go through with.
That night Tipper had a fight with Snickers over what she almost did, and Tipper realized that she was more interested in Taimoor than Cedric. Unfortunately, after taking Gabby's advice, Taimoor decided he liked his current girlfriend more than Tipper, leaving Tipper dateless and dragging her tail between her legs (figuratively speaking).

With the end of the school year comes a parting of ways for college dorm roommates Joy and Blue. Blue gets in one last homemade meal, and some video gaming action.

Mallory and BoB go out for a surprise, which turns out to be a comic book. It's a good thing these two... like...? eachother enough for these little tiffs not to hurt their relationship(?).

Snickers Namir has her own troubles... due to the year's stress she managed to fail all but one college class. However a very desperate Twix is left very alone by his co-workers when his aunt has twins begs her for her accounting expertise. Which eventually leads to Twix asking Snickers to take a small break from school to help with his florist shop. Snickers was more than happy to oblige.

It's the weekend before Tipper and her chums go back to High School, so Joy has set up a lovely weekend by the lake for Tipper and her closest friend Gabby... only Blue has arranged things so Tipper can't make it. During their weekend together, Gabby and Blue get the record straight on their stances on Tipper- and Gabby even gets Blue to stop bullying the people around Tipper.

Taimoor sneaks off to meet Dahlia, his old friend/ girlfriend to let her know what's been going on with his life, but all Dahlia wants to do is enjoy her time with her boyfriend and tell him the story about why their parents are fighting. Unfortunately she over-exerts herself in all the happiness. Linny, Dahlia's maid explains to Taimoor that Dahlia is just weak and needs his support. They part with hopes for the future.

Joy and Blue go back to college, same look, new dorm. The new school brings both good news and bad news- the bad news is Blue is stuck in an all-girl night class (which means that she actually has to go) while the good news is that Tom (a fellow who Blue has a bit of a crush on, who doesn't really notice her) is a new campus security guard.

Tipper decides to throw a big Halloween party this year, and everyone is invited (even Dahlia, Taimoor's girlfriend). Unfortunately things don't go quite as great as Tipper planned. Unfortunately for her, good party or not, she still has to pay Twix back for all the money spent on the party by working at Dorpe Flowers Plus.

Tipper's job at the flower shop shows that the crowd who vistits Dorpe Flowers Plus is anything but normal, including BoB, who wanted to check up on Joy and purchase some flowers. That night while Joy continplates her life, BoB went off to propose to Mallory, the girl who tricked Joy into going out with BoB in the first place. After much thinking (including goint to a very angry Joy for advice) Mallory accepts BoB's proposal in the hopes of moving out, but ended with the prospects of moving into BoB's mother's house.

As news of Mallory's and BoB's engagments spreads, Momma Dorpe (Twix's mother and Snickers' mother-in-law) was very upset since she was hoping her son would be the first next generation Dorpe to have children. Momma Dorpe is still working on them but made great strides towards having grandchildren during Thanksgiving dinner.

Christmas brought it's normal drama, including Gabby's mother who gets depressed (and drunk) during the Christmas season, Joy getting a job with Dr, Fitzgerald, Blue finding out Tom (a man who Blue was intersted in) is married, and Roxxanne becoming pregnant. Just the normal events that occur at the end of the year.

Year Six
Cedric and Taimoor enter a local Battle to the Death 2 arcade tournament. Cedric advances to the final round where he manages to get a hit in on Falco, the local champ, who hadn't been hit in years. Then she hits Cedric, in real life, for calling her a "Little Dutch Boy". Cedric and Falco start going out.
Snickers tells Tipper that their mother is being declared legally dead. Tipper asks Snickers that the plan a funeral, which they do.
Cedric, Murray, and Bendley finish Tipporomatic.
Joy decides that she wants to be a doctor. Dr. Fitzgerald asks Joy out for Valentine's Day. He offers to help pay for her education; she was expecting to be proposed to.
Maggie and Momma Dorpe arrive to plan Mallory's wedding to BoB. The wedding is scheduled on the same day as Mallory's vocational school graduation. Mallory is greatly annoyed by this and has not decided which one she will attend.
Blue is told that she has enough credits to graduate college with a two-year degree. She's been there for five years. Blue and Joy discuss their futures.

While Tipper awaited more college rejections, a strange letter from her father sends Tipper on a secret trip where she finds out the truth about her mother's disappearance and just how much her sister really knew about things. Confused and angry at everyone, Tipper turned to the only person she trusted, her friend Gabby, who almost confesses her much the deeper feelings she has for her friend. A chance meeting with Falco, Cedric's new girlfriend, almost lets Gabby's secret out to her crush, but quick thinking from Gabby managed to keep them at just friends.

It was finally time for Joy to live on her own in the dorm for the next year due to Blue moving back in with her sister Roxanne to help her prepare for Roxanne's birth, but when Blue got there, she realized that Joy had planned a Baby shower/ welcome home party for Blue and Roxanne. At the party Blue, and her sister talk about their pasts and the demons that still plague them. The two decide to do their best to make the baby's life better than their own.

Dahlia decides to throw a party to announce her engagement to Taimoor, Tipper and co. go apprehensively. Tipper has some issues with Taimoor getting married, which upsets Gabby for more reasons than apparent. The next week they find out that Dahila and Taimoor have moved back to Durri to start their new life as future man and wife. Tipper is finding this hard to accept- as is Taimoor's friend Cedric.

Tipper, Gabby, Falco, and Cedric graduated high school - Falco snuck in to the ceremony. Cedric had planned on going to an out of state art college, but he flunked AP art (again), lost his scholarship, and went to community college with Falco and Tipper. Cedric, Gabby, and Falco got an apartment together.

Roxanne gave birth to a healthy baby girl. Dimitri, the girl's father, reconciled with Roxanne in the hospital. They named her Daisy Samantha Deiter.

Gabby and Tipper spent a night over at Joy's apartment. Joy talked to Gabby about her relationship with Ferdinand Fitzgerald and how Joy feels like she's being controlled.

On Mallory and BoB's wedding day, both of them had doubts. As Mallory tried to escape to go to her vocational school graduation, she was confronted with the news that BoB ran off first.

Blue lent Tipper money for college, helped her get signed up, and promised to show her how she could make money for future semesters. While she was on campus, Falco invited her over to her apartment.

Falco tried to tell Tipper how Gabby felt about her. Gabby arrived and told Tipper the whole truth. Unfortunately for Gabby, the feeling wasn't mutual.

Doctor Fitzgerald broke up with Joy, allegedly on his mother's orders. Joy lost her job, her motivation to become a nurse, and her apartment in one fell swoop. She moved in with Snickers and Twix, and started helping Blue take care of Daisy.

Cedric convinced Falco, Tipper, and Gabby to reconcile; Gabby explained that her mother had set her up on a date with a very unlikeable man, which Gabby naturally resented.

Now that Tipper thinks she's too old to go trick-or-treating, Snickers starts going through Halloween withdrawal. She considers having a baby so that she'd have somebody to enjoy it with, and ends up borrowing Daisy.

Cornelius Dorpe, Twix's cousin, has forty pumpkins delivered to the shop. At Snickers' request, he moves the pumpkins...to Snickers' house, where he meets Joy. Joy asked after Cornelius.

Well, that should bring you up to date, now go read the comic!
